The course group condition allows you to trigger actions in Pulse automations based on a user’s membership in course groups or groupings. This can apply to specific groups, to users without any group membership, or to any grouped users.


Available settings

  • Course group

    Determines whether the condition is active and which events are evaluated.

    • Disable – Disables the condition.

    • All – Actions are triggered by all memberships of the defined groups.

    • Upcoming – Actions are only triggered by defined group memberships that occur after the condition is enabled.

  • Type

    Define how the group membership in the course is evaluated.

    • No group – Only users who do not belong to any group are affected.

    • Any group – All users who belong to at least one group are affected.

    • Selected groups – Only users who belong to the selected groups are affected.

    • Selected groupings – Only users who belong to the selected groupings are affected.

  • Select groups

    Select the groups that should be evaluated by this condition.

  • Select groupings

    Select the groupings that should be evaluated by this condition.

Note: When type is set to "No group" and course group is set to "Upcoming", the condition only applies to users who are newly enrolled in the course.
