Hero activity settings of the Designer course format

When you select the Designer format in a course, additional hero activity settings become available in the course settings. These options define if section 0 is displayed and whether its activities are shown as hero activities in the secondary menu.

Available settings

• Section 0 activities

  • Disabled – Section 0 and its activities remain unchanged.

  • Make hero activity and hide section 0 – Section 0 is hidden and all its activities become hero activities.

  • Make hero activity and keep section 0 visible – Section 0 stays visible and all its activities become hero activities.

• Show as tab

  • Disabled – The activities are not displayed in the secondary menu.

  • Everywhere – The activities are displayed in the secondary menu on the main course page and all subpages.

  • Only on course main page – The activities are displayed in the secondary menu only on the course main page.

• Order

  Define the position of the activities in the secondary menu.

  • Position 0 is always the course itself.

  • With a negative number from –1 to –10, you can place the activities before the course tab.

  • With a positive number from 1 to 10, you can place them after the course tab.
